Essential Oils are the life force or chi of nature. They are what some plants produce to attract beneficial pollinators such as bees, butterflies and birds or what some plants produce to repel invading pathogens and predators. Because of this essential oils can be used to attract if worn as perfume (see perfume balms ) or to protect against viruse and bacteria so boosting our own immune systems. This is a simplified view of what essential oils are to both plants and people, but they are like the distilled essence of the plant, hundreds of times stronger than the plant itself and so they are to be used with wisdom and reverence, because they are truly precious and life enhancing.
Where possible we source our 100% pure essential oils from the grower, where this is not possible we select oils from suppliers based on their industry reputation, trading history and evidence of quality control assessments.
We choose oils from suppliers that can provide Material Safety Data and Assessments and those that have been tested –using GC/MS (Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer), Appearance, Colour, Odour, Specific Gravity, Refractive Index, and/or Optical Rotation.
All of our supplies need to be able to provide the botanical species of each oil, the method of extraction, i.e. cold /expeller pressed, steam distilled or solvent extracted, and the country of origin.
The certified organic essential oils we provide all come from certified organic suppliers. We can provide the Australian Organic Certification numbers from all of our Australian partners, and for those that are sourced from overseas they must have the approval from the equivalent organic certification body i.e. Europe ECOCERT, USA UDSA, UK Soil Association Certification etc. So you can be confident that Nature Deva's oils are of the highest quality.
We endevour to keep our prices affordable by avoiding pyramid selling systems by which many people take a cut thus pushing the price up, and by keeping our overheads down by not running a shop, with rent, rates, wages, etc to pay. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to contact us.
Happy shopping!
