
Marmalade Spice Brown Sugar Organic Body Scrub is a unique body scrub. Use to exfoliate the skin on your body (not face) and rinse for warm, smooth and very soft conditioned skin. Marmalade Spice Body Scrub can also be used to lift the spirits and increase circulation. It is made locally in the Yarra Valley by Penny with ingredients so pure and natural it is literally good enough to eat! However its true purpose is to exfoliate and moisturise the skin all in one and just feel the results for yourself!
Organic raw & brown sugar is a natural cleanser and exfoliater. It also is a natural preservative, which means this product doesn’t need any additional preservatives. Dark brown sugar and brown sugar are rich in molasses and iron. Organic Rice Bran oil (Oryza sativa) is full of antioxidants, such as Vitamin E, ferulic acid, linolic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid and oryzanol. In Japan, Rice Bran Oil is used as a skin and hair beauty enhancer. Organic Australian macadamia nut oil (Macadamia integrifolia) is, indigenous to Australia and is high in palmitoliec acid which is also found in sebum. Thus it is a highly nourishing and emollient oil recommended for dry and mature skin.
Exfoliating regularly not only helps to keep skin smooth by removing dead skin cells, it is also helpful in preventing ingrowing hairs if used a couple of days after waxing.
As Marmalade Spice doesn’t contain any detergents, (which by design are intended to remove sebum from the skin, and are therefore drying), you will certainly notice how moisturised your skin feels after using this scrub.Mandarin (citrus madurensis) essential oil (Australian) has some great properties to help relieve stress and digestive problems, but is mostly used to increase circulation to the skin, reduce fluid retention and to help to prevent stretch marks. It deals very well with colds and flu, eliminates toxins and stimulates the lymphatic system.1 It is sometimes referred to as balancing oil, stimulating the lethargic and calming the nervous.
Orange, sweet oil (Citrus sinensis) is a sunny and radiant oil, bringing happiness and warmth to the mind.
Its actions include: Antidepressant, antiseptic, bactericidal, fungicidal, sedative (nervous), and stimulant (digestive and lymphatic)2 Orange oil can be used effectively on the immune system, as well as for colds and flu and to eliminate toxins from the body. It is a good diuretic and is most useful in balancing water retention and obesity.
Pink Grapefruit (citrus paradisi) oil is a lymphatic stimulant and is indicated for cellulitis, obesity and water retention, it has diuretic properties, helping to remove excess water from the body and therefore great for treating cellulite. It has an uplifting effect on the nervous system making it valuable for treating stress, depression and nervous exhaustion. It is used with great success to combat muscle fatigue and stiffness while stimulating the lymphatic system and thereby clearing the body of toxins. Bergamot (citrus bergamia) oil is a favorite in aromatherapy and is great for creating a more relaxed and happy feeling. Nature eva use bergaptene free bergamot so as to minimalise any possible phototoxicty. When you are looking for an oil to help with depression, SAD (Seasonal Affected Disorder) or generally feeling just a bit off, lacking in self-confidence or feeling shy, then consider bergamot oil.3 It also has superb antiseptic qualities that are useful for skin complaints, such as acne, oily skin conditions, eczema and psoriasis.
Organic Cinnamon (Bark cinnamomum zeylanicum) oil calms an exhausted feeling of depression, tones the whole body and stimulates the glandular system, thus easing period pains. It’s warming and detoxifying properties helps with rheumatism and arthritis. Cinnamon Oil needs to be used at less than 1% 4 as it is in Marmalade Spice to avoid irritating skin.
Organic Ginger (zingiber officinale) oil is described as a circulatory stimulant and tonic of the heart 5 It is recommended for poor circulation, cold hands and feet. It is well suited to help ease muscle aches and pains, as well as arthritic pain. Its warming qualities are good to use for feelings of loneliness and winter depression, and its energizing properties make it a good aphrodisiac
Organic Clove Oil (Syzygium aromaticum) aromatic description is “ Spicy, warming yet slightly bitter, woody, reminiscent of true clove buds, but richer 6” With possible uses cited for arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, rheumatism, sprains, strains, nerve tension, general weakness, nausea, sinusitis & toothache. 7 We add this ingredient to add to the spice and warming content of the sugar scrub.
Warnings Essential oils are plant essences which are potent. Do not use this product if pregnant or epileptic. If using on children under 12 it is advisable to conduct a skin sensitivity test before use. Safety information for clove oil states that it is advisable to Avoid in alcoholism, in haemophilia, in prostatic cancer, with kidney and liver problems and if taking anticoagulants. [Robert Tisserand, Essential Oil Safety (United Kingdom: Churchill Livingstone, 1995), 131.] Marmalade Spice uses Clove at levels of less than 1%. In some people warming oils may cause sensitisation if this occurs discontinue use. Use within 6 months of opening.
Directions for Use. Stir product before use, use a dessertspoon of scrub on feet, hands legs and any other areas requiring exfoliating avoiding delicate areas such as face. Rinse with warm water, pat skin dry. ENJOY! This product is not tested on animals. Does not contain any artificial of synthetic ingredients and has not exploited any one to get here.
